Perched on the top of a hill just outside of Pontardawe South Wales we grow seasonal cut flowers on about half an acre of land including a polytunnel and two greenhouses. The rest of our 18 acres is a mix of fields cut for hay, woodland and bramble scrub left for the wildlife. Blue Hill Flora is my way of hopefully helping to leave a positive mark on the planet rather than a negative one.
Fresh Wedding Flowers
It’s such a joy to be part of a couple’s big day—there’s nothing quite like seeing those huge smiles when we deliver our flowers!
I’m so thrilled to see more couples falling in love with British-grown blooms—choosing a softer, wilder, more natural look while also opting for a lower-impact, locally grown option. It’s a beautiful way to celebrate both love and sustainability. Our main season for fresh wedding flowers runs from April to October.
Dried Wedding Flowers
We don’t just do fresh flower though we also do dried wedding flowers.
All through our growing season we harvest and dry a big range of flowers so we can provide vibrant blooms even when our fresh flowers come to an end. Dried flowers are also a great option for a wedding where they need to travel either abroad or up to Scotland like this colourful sunset wedding. Dried flowers also double up as a wonderful keep sake. This couple now have their wedding bouquet in a vase in their living room always reminding them of their special day.
